Have you always enjoyed singing, but want to improve your tone and sustainability? Have you always wanted to sing, but don't know where to start? Do you have an audition coming up and want to perfect your 32-bar cut or monologue? If so, you've come to the right place!

No matter what your level of training is, I'd love to help! Since the pandemic, I have been teaching voice to a number of students virtually, providing them with new vocal exercises and coaching on challenging repertoire. I love sharing my students' joy when they have that "Aha!" moment or they hit that note they've been aiming for just right. I recently graduated a year early from UC Berkeley with my B.A. in Theater, Dance and Performance Studies (Highest Distinction Honors). While in university, I provided vocal direction for a number of musicals at Berkeley and taught musical theater to grades K-6 at the award-winning Berkeley Playhouse and Bay Area Children's Theatre.

KGV Artists’ Studio aims to help students discover their essential voice in the world, whether through song, spoken word, or both. The key to good singing is making sure the voice is balanced and connected as a whole. What transforms good singing into an art form is one's ability to tell a story. Even with honing of vocal technique, I will still assist students with character work/lyric interpretation. Symbiotically, when dealing with spoken text, I will reinforce the artist’s connection to their breath and voice.

Students are not required to have prior experience. All they need is a love for the performing arts and the willingness to experiment in their artistry! All ages and skill levels are welcome!
